Kahana Sunset, Kapalua

I had mixed feelings about this hotel. On one hand, the location is stunning with a beautiful private beach where I got to see sea turtles while swimming. The facilities, like the pool and gardens, were nice too. However, the room I stayed in was outdated and needed a lot of repairs, which took away from my experience. Additionally, the lack of air conditioning was hard to deal with in the heat.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. I enjoyed the spacious two-bedroom unit with great kitchen facilities, which allowed us to save money by cooking meals, and the beach access was a definite plus. However, the room did come with a peculiar smell, and the loud noise from nearby areas made it hard to relax at times. Despite the dated condition of the unit, I found value in the overall experience, especially with the family-friendly amenities.

My family and I enjoyed our stay, especially the peaceful atmosphere and access to some amazing snorkeling spots where we got to see turtles up close. The sunset views were breathtaking, and the gardens added a lovely touch. However, our specific unit could have used some updates, and we did have some issues with noise from neighboring units that detracted from the experience a bit.

I loved staying in this resort, especially because of the easy access to the beach and snorkeling with sea turtles, which was a highlight for my family. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, although it felt a bit dated. However, the check-in process was straightforward, and we appreciated the friendly atmosphere among guests. On the downside, there were some maintenance issues, and the place could benefit from a bit of renovation.
